Happy New Year dear friends, and have a wonderful 2012! I'm hoping this year to have more time for stitching and creating. What are your goals? And does anyone know how to get this photobucket thingy of my page!?
Participating in the "12 Days of Christmas" swap in WWCQ, was so much fun! My partner was Debbie, and she blew me away!! For the 12 days before Christmas, we each opened a gift from our partner, following the song except re-writing it to do with crazy quilting.
So as I sit here with my breakfast, served on my day 4 gift, let me show you the bounty Deb sent!
These are close ups of the day 2 ornaments, made with pictures of my dog Chip, and cat Toby.
So personal, what a touching, thoughtful gift!!
This is the full spread! I was amazed and humbled by the carefully thought out gifts!
And this is the topper!! Deb created this BEAUTIFUL tin, sewn and stitched in my favorite colors.
I opened it to find a bounty of embellishments, laces, threads, silkies, and supplies. I can't believe it! Now, I can't wait for next years swap!! My mind is going crazy (excuse the pun) with ideas and anticipation. Thanks Leslie, for putting on such a great exchange, and thank-you Deb!!!!! You truly made my Christmas! My new song: Day 1 A silkie in a baggie Day 2 2 furry friends Day 3 3 paint brushes Day 4 4 things for tea Day 5 5 golden trims! Day 6 6 dyes for dying (yeah!) Day 7 7 doggie faces Day 8 8 odds and ends Day 9 9 fancy buttons Day 10 10 laces for dyine Day 11 11 Treats from Maine (Ooohh! maple candies and syrup!) Day 12 A handmade surprise
I'm participating in the 12 Days of Christmas swap on World Wide Crazy Quilters. This si so much fun! for day 2 my partner Debbie, created these two awesome cq ornaments, featuring my cat Toby, and pom, Chip!
